Tongfei Liu is a Ph.D. student in the Transportation and Infrastructure Systems area at the Lyles School of Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He was born in Guangdong province, China, but raised in Beijing. In June 2022, He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Traffic Engineering from Southeast University, China. In May 2024, he graduated from Cornell University with a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on transportation systems engineering. He began research on pedestrian dynamics in 2020, later pivoting to the route choice problem and traffic survey. He is interested in decision-making process, transportation economics, and agent-based modeling.

 

Aside from engineering studies, Tongfe Liu enjoys watching movies and playing PC games.
