Prasanna Humagain
Prasanna Humagain is a post-doctoral research associate at Lyles School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University. Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, he completed his bachelor’s in civil engineering and a master's in transportation engineering from Tribhuvan University. He earned his doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Utah State University and then worked as a post-doctorate researcher at Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute (UGPTI), North Dakota State University before joining Purdue University.
His core research interests lie in the field of travel behavior and psychology. He has worked on numerous projects on travel satisfaction, well-being, travel time perceptions, air quality and travel, travel demand modeling (freight), and modeling active modes demand. In his current position, he is focused on understanding the socio-technical impacts of roadway electrification under the NSF-funded engineering research center-ASPIRE.
Besides research, Prasanna loves playing and watching soccer, and enjoys hiking, and spending time with his wife.
