MATH 7
The Webb group has developed an interactive presentation for students in 7th grade math classes, and has fostered a relationship with a local junior high school to showcase this under the theme "Magic of Math". The event currently features four stations for the students to rotate through, each giving the students the opportunity to apply mathematics to an experiment:
- CD Diffraction Grating – Laser Scatter from Objects;
- Inclinometer for Measuring Height – Laser Ranging and Motion Sensing;
- Estimating Pi – Understanding Physical System Models; and
- Monty Hall Problem – Statistics and Probability Theory.
