Participate in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Workshop

We invite you to participate in an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Workshop at Purdue on October 20, 2021. This workshop will convene a broad group of Purdue researchers working with UAS systems to better understand our respective capabilities and interests, whether in the aerial platform, control systems, operations, applications, new designs, sensors, etc., with the aim of igniting new collaborations, partnerships, and proposals.

The UAS Workshop will be held at Purdue’s Beck Center (4550 US 52 W, West Lafayette)

High level schedule:

  • 9:00 – 10:30 - Poster Session, coffee, and informal sharing of ideas
  • 10:30 – 12:00 - Lightning Round Presentations
  • 12:00 – 1:00 - Working lunch (provided) and networking
  • 1:00 – 2:30 - Panel Discussion to debrief and explore future collaborations

We are soliciting poster session and lightning round presentations.  Please submit at the link below by Friday, September 3.

UAS Workshop Presentation Submission

Faculty, students and/or teams may make multiple submissions for posters and/or lightning round presentations.  Feel free to share this announcement with your research team and other colleagues (including grad students) and encourage them to apply.  There is no cost to attend the workshop.  Our intention is to accommodate all poster submissions and as many lightning round presentations as possible, subject to space and time constraints.  We will notify all participants by September 13th regarding which posters and presentations are scheduled and their corresponding time slot.

This one-day workshop is certain to have positive outcomes as yet undefined, and will likely be the first step in creation of new collaborations on development of UAS systems and applications, leveraging our complementary capabilities across campus.  Please hold October 20 on your calendar for the workshop. A complete program will be shared by September 27th.
