Three members of the ACS PEI team – Professors David Love, Ayman Habib and Darcy Bullock – received 2020 Faculty Excellence Awards from the College of Engineering for outstanding contributions within the College and Purdue University.

Love, the Nick Trbovich Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering, won the Research Award. He was recognized for innovative research on the design, analysis and development of MIMO systems adapting to channel conditions; revolutionizing 4G and 5G wireless systems; and creating a new research area known as limited feedback communication.

Habib, the Thomas A. Page Professor, and Bullock, the Lyles Family Professor, both in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering, together received the Engagement Award for a team. They were honored for the Joint Transportation Research Program’s widespread impact on transportation infrastructure systems throughout Indiana, providing multidisciplinary focus and increased communication of best practices regarding work zone safety and unmanned aerial systems for standardized processing of crash and crime scenes.
