Heinz Lab at AAS 2025!

Heinz Lab at AAS 2025!

The Heinz Lab had a great time at the American Auditory Society (AAS) 2025 conference in Scottsdale, Arizona (Feb 13–15, 2025)! We presented some of our latest research, shared ideas, and had great discussions with colleagues in the field.

Posters We Presented:

Physiological Profiling of Sensorineural Hearing Loss for Predicting Speech-in-Noise Outcomes
Authors: S. Hauser, A. Sivaprakasam, M. G. Heinz, H. Bharadwaj
This project explores how physiological measures of hearing loss can help predict real-world listening difficulties, bringing us closer to better diagnostic tools.

Accessible Precision Audiology Research Center (APARC) in a Community-Based Innovation District
Authors: A. R. Hustedt-Mai, J. D. Alexander, E. M. Bartlett, A. V. Grama, M. K. Shader, J. L. Simpson, E. A. Jensen, S. N. Hauser, A. S. Sivaprakasam, M. G. Heinz
We introduced APARC, a new audiology research center focused on making hearing research more accessible and community-driven. Exciting things ahead!

Beyond the science, it was great to connect with other researchers, exchange ideas, and get inspired by all the exciting work happening in the field.

Looking forward to future collaborations and next year’s conference! Stay tuned for more updates from the lab!
