Duong-Tran receives fellowship at awards dinner

At a recent Purdue IE dinner and awards ceremony, CONNplexity PhD student Duy Anh Duong-Tran received a Ross Fellowship certificate.
About 180 people attended the November 16 event in the Shively Club at the Ross-Ade Pavilion. Purdue IE celebrated student scholarship recipients and honored Dr. Ferdinand Leimkuhler, Professor Emeritus and former Head of Purdue IE. Steve Duket, IE managing director, presented awards to students and faculty. At the end of the evening, Dr. Abhi Deshmukh, James J. Solberg Head of Purdue Industrial Engineering, announced that a newly-established Ferdinand Leimkuhler Dissertation Award will be given every two years to honor outstanding PhD IE dissertations.
