Following a search for a postdoctoral scholar, the Chawla Research Group welcomed Dr. Raheleh Mohammad Rahimi, graduate of the Purdue School of Materials Engineering, as its newest member. Dr. Rahimi's experience in nanoindentation, which was at the core of her PhD dissertation, will be a valuable asset in the group's efforts to correlate microstructure and mechanical properties. In the future, she will be assisting with or leading projects focused on the stress corrosion cracking properties of structural alloys, the mechanical strength of oxide thin films, and the characterization of porous foams.
