Daniel Sinclair Successfully Defends PhD Thesis

Earlier this July, Daniel Sinclair defended his PhD thesis, titled "Correlative Characterization of Processing Effects in LPBF-Al Refined by In Situ Reactions." His work was highly praised by attendees, committee members, and collaborators. This milestone marks the culmination of Daniel's 6 years of research under Dr. Chawla, which began during his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University. Daniel will soon begin a Postdoctoral Research Position at Carnegie Mellon University, where he will join the Manufacturing Futures Institute as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In this role, he will continue his research in metal additive manufacturing under the guidance of Dr. Bryan Webler.
