Ankit Kumar successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation, titled “Multiscale Characterization of Corrosion and Freeze-Thaw Induced Damage Mechanisms in Aluminum Alloys,” on April 22, 2025. Ankit's research showcased fantastic work on novel insights into corrosion mechanisms in high-strength aluminum alloys and stands as a testament to his dedication and innovation in the field. The defense presentation was both well attended and well received.

 

As his next step, Dr. Kumar will join the semiconductor R&D team at LAM Research as a Process Engineer III this summer.
