The major thrust area of CMUXE is to study the interactions of high-intensity, modulated energy beams: electromagnetic radiation, plasma, electrons, ions and other particle sources (i.e. clusters, molecules) with matter. The center will combine the advanced integrated computational tools of HEIGHTS simulation package and state-of-the art experimental devices. Following are the details of major areas of CMUXE research.
2. Ions/Surface Interactions in Dynamics (ITMC-DYN)
5. Laser-Produced Plasma Research
6. HEDP and Ultra-intense Laser-Plasma Research
7. Discharged Produced Plasmas
8. Ion Channel Protein
