Welcome Gigi Brandes to the lab!

A warm welcome to Giada Brandes to the Chan Lab! Gigi comes from a mechanical engineering undergrad at Boise State and joins us this fall as a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering!

Welcome to the lab, Evan Larson!

Evan Larson officially joins the team and is starting this summer through the Graduate Bridge program. He joins us as a biochemistry major and soccer player/coach from Grinnell College. His interests are in joint injury, gut microbiome, and biomechanics.
No upcoming events.

Musculoskeletal Research and Innovation Lab

The Chan Musculoskeletal Research and Innovation (MRI) Lab believes that understanding the early response to injury is critical to diagnosis, assessment, and intervention in life-altering diseases, including post-traumatic osteoarthritis and traumatic brain injury.

True to our biomedical engineering roots, we adopt a multi-disciplinary approach - using biomechanics, biomedical imaging, and matrix biology - to quantify the complex tissue responses to injury.
