Steps to Leaps Student Lunch and Learn: The Native American Cultural Center
September 10, noon – 1PM, ET
With representation from 65 American Indian tribal nations at Purdue University, the Native American Educational and Cultural Center (NAECC) provides a safe and inclusive learning space for the campus community to gain deeper knowledge about Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian cultures. The NAECC amplifies the “Indigenize voice” by featuring Native scholars and elders who raise awareness to historical and contemporary issues affecting tribal communities. Supporting student research and intercultural learning opportunities is a vital component of the NAECC’s student services and we encourage and support discussions focused on Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Two-Spirit identity, Indigenous activism, and more. Visit us in person to hear from your peers or join us online to learn about the exciting resources and events this fall and how you can make the NAECC your “second home.”
