Professor D. Marshall Porterfield will be teaching Space Biology and Medicine (ABE 495) in Spring 2022! The course objective is to familiarize students with factors affecting living organisms (ranging from single cells to humans) in the space exploration environment, including deep space travel, and lunar/planetary surfaces.

• Space biology payloads
• Human life support fundamentals
• Biomedical and engineering countermeasures
• Biophysical mechanisms and gravity
