AAE 497/490: TracSat DBT (Fall 2023)

TracSat’s mission this year is the FEMTA-enhanced Laser Communications Satellite (FLaC-Sat), which is a student led CubeSat mission to demonstrate two technologies: laser communication and FEMTA micropropulsion. Topics include hardware, software, coding, simulating, optics, propulsion, design, and more.

Students will participate in the research, design, fabrication, and testing of the FLaC-Sat mission as subcontractors to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in their University Nanosatellite Program (UNP).

Undergraduate students from any year with US citizenship who are interested in conducting research in nanosatellite design may apply. All engineering disciplines are welcome, and previous research experience is not required.
