Degree Requirements

The Sustainable Engineering (MS or MSE) degree requires a total of 30 credit hours with at least 18 credits of Purdue, graduate level, engineering courses. 

Select six credit hours from the below course group.

  • EEE 53000: Life Cycle Assessment  (3 credits)
  • EEE 59700/CE59700 Global Sustainable Engineering  (3 credits)

Select three credit hours from the following course group.

Select three credit hours from the following course group.

Select courses from the following course group.

Additional Professional and applied elective courses (12 Credits) Courses available in the Purdue Online catalog that provide additional training, expertise and practice in areas that are important to skill and professional development but that are not specific to one technical area. For example, project management, product development, technical writing, leadership development etc.

Creating Your Plan of Study

The MS/MSE master's programs offer a wide range of flexibility in course options. After you begin your studies at Purdue, an academic advisor will help you create an electronic plan of study (EPOS) to best fit your educational needs and career goals.
