Dr. Tong is in Tokyo, Japan to attend 2018 fNIRS Conference
Dr. Tong will give a talk on "NIRS Signal: what we can learn from fMRI" in special session "Origin of signals" on Oct. 10th, 2018.
New Publication on the Journal of Neural Engineering
Congratulations on Zhenhu Liang, who is a visiting scholar in Tong's lab. The paper named "Symbolic time series analysis of fNIRS signals in brain development assessment" was published on the Journal of Neural Engineering.

This group utilizes multiple imaging modalities to identify and understand the neuronal and physiological changes in homeostasis that correlate to diseases. The main imaging modalities used in this lab are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), electroencephalogram (EEG). Through concurrent multimodal imaging studies on humans and animals, a deeper understanding of the brain function, perfusion, and their relationships with the respiratory system, is learned.
Please feel free to contact Dr. Tong to learn more about his lab
