Interface Focus published the paper by Adam Wright and Tianyin Xu, titled Robust data-driven segmentation of pulsatile cerebral vessels using functional magnetic resonance imaging. The data-driven, automatic segmentation of cerebral vessels method described in this paper is superior to existing vessel identification methods becuase it uses a scans fMRI space and therefore is not affected by inherent fMRI distortions associated with registration steps in existing methods. More accurate cerebral vessel segmentation will allow for reliable fluid dynamics investigation in cerebral vessel regions.
