The STR group participated in the 6th International Transportation and Economic Development conference (I-TED)
In this conference, a wide range of research and practice-oriented projects focused on economic and social impacts of transportation, transit, trade, and transportation planning & policy were presented by professionals from industry, academia, government, and supranational organizations. The theme for the 2018 conference was “Relationships between Multimodal Transportation & Economic Development: Policy, Infrastructure, & Technology.” Dr. Konstantina Gkritza served as a co-Chair of the 2018 Standing Committee on Transportation and Economic Development which was organizing the conference. The STR group participated with a poster and a podium presentations entitled: "Transportation Infrastructure and Poverty: A Case Study of Ethiopia" by Yue Ke and "Accessibility to Diversity of Jobs and Resilience to Economic Shocks in Indiana" by Davis Chacon-Hurtado. The Indiana Department of Transportation also participated with two speakers and as a Bronze-level sponsor. For more information about the conference, please follow this link.
