STSRG members at TRB 96th Annual Meeting.
STSRG members attended the Transportation Research Board's (TRB) 96th Annual Meeting held on January 8-12, 2017, in Washington, D.C. The members participated in several lectern and poster sessions and committee meetings.
Davis Chacon Hurtado presented the paper: Investigating the Spatial Distribution of Manufacturing Employment: Indiana Case Study in session 738: Access and Economic Development Implications: Evidence from National case studies and Emerging perspectives.
Dr. Dimitra Pyrialakou, recent STRSG graduate, presented the paper: Exploring the use of TRB Research Needs Statement Database in an Introductory Transportation Course which was part of session 821: Risk Taking and Innovation in Workforce Development and Training Activities. She also presented a poster: Exploring Stakeholder Participation in Transportation Planning: Focus Group on Intercity Passenger Rail in session 697: Current Issues in Transportation Public Involvement.
Yue Kue also participated in two poster session, 350: Transportation and Economics and 555: National Statewide Transportation Data Requirements and Programs. The poster presented in the first session was titled Regional Differences in the Determinants of Oregon VMT and Determinants of Congestion: A Time Series Analysis in the second session listed.
