STSRG at Transportation Research Board (TRB) 97th Annual Meeting

  • Dr. Nadia Gkritza chaired the Economic Development Committee. She also presided a poster session on Perspectives on Economic Development Impacts of Transportation Investments and Policies sponsored by the Committee on Transportation and Economic Development. Additionally, Dr. Gkritza presented in the Economic Benefits of Connected, Autonomous, and Share Mobility Future session. In that session, she gave a presentation about “Behavioral Experiments for Smart Mobility and Autonomy”. Dr. Gkritza is also part of the ITED 2018 Conference Planning Subcommittee that met at TRB.
  • Yue Ke shared his research at the poster session “Emerging Research in Transportation and Land Development”. His poster was title “Geospatial Trends in Light Rail Transit’s Effects on Nearby House Prices in Charlotte, North Carolina”.
  • Lisa Losada presented her research “Access to Intercity Passenger Rail: Effects on Mode Choice and Trip Frequency” in a lectern session. Additionally, she was part of the poster session “Community Impact Assessment” where she presented a poster on “A multimodal Analysis to Identify Rural and Urban Areas of Low Accessibility to Healthy Food in Indiana”.

STSRG also participated actively in other networking activities, such as the Purdue Reception and the visit to the ITE Headquarters in D.C.
