Dr. Lu attended Distinguished and Named Professorship Ceremony to celebrate her "Rising Star" professorship!

Dr. Lu has recently been named the ACPA Scholar in Concrete Pavement and Materials Science by the Indiana Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association. The ACPA Scholar designation recognizes an outstanding faculty member in the School of Civil Engineering

Dr. Lu has been invited to Distinguished and Named Professorship Ceremony on Nov. 1st. 

About ACPA

Founded in 1963, The American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) is the world's largest trade association that exclusively represents the interests of those involved with the design, construction, and preservation of concrete pavements. ACPA represents these interests at the national level to Congress, FHWA, FAA, national trade associations, and business organizations. ACPA supports research and promotion to improve the quality of concrete pavements and expand their use. ACPA provides engineering expertise, design tools, pavement specifications, construction best practices, and education to members and agencies. ACPA represents nearly 400 member companies and 2,300 individuals across the US and abroad.

Indiana Chapter

The Indiana Chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association (IN-ACPA) represents the concrete pavement contractors, cement manufacturers and related material and equipment suppliers serving the concrete paving industry in Indiana.  They provide technical, educational and governmental affairs services advocating the use of Portland cement concrete pavement (PCCP) for highways, airports, local roads and streets, and site paving installations. Established in 1988 as a chapter of the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) they are a not-for-profit trade association (501(c) 6) based in Indianapolis under the direction of an annually-elected Board of Directors.
