Lab and Facilities
We are located in the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering on the Purdue University West Lafayette Campus.
- Rapid prototyping - Heated Carver hydraulic press, ULS 40W laser cutter, Xerox wax-ink printer, Cutter plotter, Herrick oxygen plasma cleaner, Clairmont Bio lateral flow striper, 6' fume hood, circuit design/build station, 6-channel Bio-Logic potentiostat for electrochemical analysis,
- Imaging - Li-Cor Odyssey NIR and Azure fluorescent imaging systems, Epson V850 flatbed scanner, AxioObserver Z1 inverted epifluorescent microscope with high speed CCD
- Molecular biology - Applied Biosystems real-time PCR, Gel electrophoresis and Western blot, SpeedVac refrigerated vacuum centrifuge, Nanodrop 1000 UV/Vis spectrophotometer
- BLS2 level bacterial culture facility - 6' A2 Biosafety cabinet, CO2 incubator, Baterial culture incubator, Eppendorf 5424 refrigerated centrifuge, -20oC freezer and -4oC refrigerator
Additionally, we have access to shared equipment with the adjacent Kinzer-Ursem Lab and the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory led by Dr. Craig Goergen, support form the BME Machine Shop, and access to core facilities across the street in Discovery Park including the Birck Nanotechnology Center, Bindley Bioscience Center, and Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship.
