Welcome Ana Claure Dips, Samantha Mata Robles and Khalid Khalaf to the PhD program and Linnes Lab!

(Click to find out what projects they are working on)

Ana has a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Miami and started working in the development of a novel ultrasensitive detection assay based on antibody-initiated LAMP for a more accurate, rapid and early POC detection of HTLV-1.

Sam has a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from University of Arizona and as part of her PhD she is developing a community and user-centered solution for point-of-care detection of Hepatitis C for at risk communities.

Kal has a Master's degree in Bioengineering from University of Toledo and as part of his PhD project he is exploring the development of a microfluidic device that employs inertial focusing for high-throughput, label-free sorting of cells based on size.

They started their PhD program last Fall and they've already made huge progress towards their goals!

We are happy to have you in the lab!
