We secured second place in a thrilling and incredibly close final!
On July 24, 2025, we delivered an outstanding performance at the first-ever autonomous racing competition on a road-course circuit in the U.S., held at the legendary WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
We’re especially proud to have improved our lap time from 1:38 to 1:30.567 over the course of the event, a remarkable 7.5-second gain on one of the most technically demanding circuits in the U.S. This performance reflects the progress and precision of our system under high-speed conditions:
Top Speed: 146.93 mph
Average Speed: 87.89 mph
Best Lap Time: 90.567 seconds
Even more, we completed all runs and practice sessions without any vehicle damage, showcasing not only speed but also precision and reliability, pushing the limits of localization and control over several weeks of rigorous development and validation.
We secured second place in a thrilling and incredibly close final, just behind the winning PoliMOVE Autonomous Racing Team. Congratulations to them on their historic achievement, and to all participating teams Autonomous Tiger Racing, Cavalier Autonomous Racing, AI Racing Tech, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, CalTech CAST, IU Luddy Department of Information and Library Science for raising the bar and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in high-speed autonomy. It’s an honor to compete alongside such innovative minds.
Thank you to the Indy Autonomous Challenge team, our partners, and our sponsors: Gatik, Purdue for Life Foundation, Purdue Research Foundation, and the Purdue University College of Engineering, for your continued support.
