Enabling Firefox Visibility for Raspberry Pi

Disabling Graphics Acceleration in Firefox

While the screen cable is still connected, you need to disable the graphics accelerator in Firefox. This ensures that the Firefox browser is formatted correctly when accessed via XRDP. Follow these steps:

Steps to Disable Graphics Acceleration

  1. Open Firefox on your Raspberry Pi: Launch Firefox from the desktop or application menu.

  2. Access Firefox Settings: Click on the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right corner of the Firefox window and select "Settings."

  3. Scroll to Performance: Scroll down to the "Performance" section.

  4. Disable Recommended Performance Settings: Uncheck the box for "Use recommended performance settings."

  5. Disable Hardware Acceleration: After unchecking the recommended settings, another option will appear. Uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available."

  6. Restart Firefox: After disabling hardware acceleration, you may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect. Close Firefox and open it again. Now you will be able to open Firefox while using XRDP.
