Enabling Chrome Visibility for Raspberry PI

Disabling Graphics Acceleration in Google Chrome

While the screen cable is still connected, you need to disable hardware acceleration in Google Chrome. This ensures that the Chrome browser window is formatted correctly when accessed via XRDP. Follow these steps:

Steps to Disable Graphics Acceleration

1) Open Google Chrome on your Raspberry Pi: Launch Google Chrome from the desktop or application menu.

2) Access Chrome Settings: Click the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner of the Chrome window and select "Settings."

3) Search for "Hardware Acceleration": In the settings search bar, type "hardware acceleration."

4) Disable Hardware Acceleration: Find the option "Use hardware acceleration when available" and toggle it off.

5) Restart Google Chrome: After disabling hardware acceleration, you may need to restart Chrome for the changes to take effect. Close Chrome and open it again. You will now be able to open Chrome while using XRDP.

A Chrome settings tab open with "Use graphics acceleration when available" highlighted and the toggle bar next to it highlighted as well.

By disabling hardware acceleration in Google Chrome and following these steps, you ensure a smoother, more reliable remote desktop experience with your Raspberry Pi via XRDP.
