Coding and Debugging Studio:

Located in: DUDL 3123

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

The FYE-EBEC Coding and Debugging Studio helps any undergraduate in the College of Engineering to connect the coding and programming principles that they learned in the FYE courses with the coding needs for their assignments in their sophomore, junior, or senior years.

Math Resource Room

Located in: WTHR 182

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-5:20 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m.-1:20 p.m.

Minority Engineering Program Academic Success Center

Located in: Lambertus Hall 2235; online via Zoom

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in person, Monday-Thursday 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. online (Click here for instructions to join Zoom tutoring), Sundays 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. by appointment only

Women in Engineering and Women in Science Program Tutoring Center

Located in: Shreve Hall C113A and online (Click here to sign in and receive the link to the online session)

Hours: Sun-Thu, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Note: The week before finals the hours are 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.) 

Courses: Tutoring provided for 100 and 200 level Math, Science, and Engineering courses

AAE

For assistance in other AAE courses, please contact the AAE advising office for a list of students who have successfully completed AAE (and MA/ME/PHYS) courses and can serve as tutors*.

ABE

ABE will sponsor an ABE student to tutor another ABE student in any course with pairings established on an ad-hoc basis. Please contact the ABE advising office for more information.

BME

BME runs a Resource Center where students can get assistance from multiple TAs for core BME courses on a nightly basis. The Resource Center is located in MJIS 1097 from 7-9pm. An up-to-date schedule can be found outside of MJIS 1097.

CE

Students needing help in CE 29700, CE 29800, or CE 34000 can utilize the Teaching Assistants at Shiva Haghighi Student Success Center. Hours vary each semester. Your course instructors will have the information on how the students can utilize this resource. One on one peer tutoring available for CE21101, CE29700, CE29800, and CE34000. Tutoring sessions are scheduled through Boiler Connect, choose Polytech and Engineering Tutoring to schedule.

CHE

For assistance in CHE courses, please contact the CHE advising office for a list of former students who have successfully completed CHE courses and can serve as tutors*. Tutoring is also available through Omega Chi Epsilon.

ECE

All ECE students and students in other majors taking ECE courses can receive free tutoring from ECE students in courses including, but not limited to: ECE 20001, 20002, 20007, 20875, 26400, 36900, 30100, 30200, 36900, 33700 and 43700. Tutoring sessions are scheduled through Boiler Connect, choose Polytech, ECE & ME Tutoring to schedule.

EEE

For assistance in EEE courses, please contact the EEE advising office for a list of former students who have successfully completed EEE courses and can serve as tutors*.

FYE

Supplemental Instruction is available for CHM 11500, CHE 11600, CS 15900, MA 16100, MA 16200 and PHYS 17200.
FYE offers preparation for the COM 11400 credit by exam which takes place a couple of days prior to the posted exams. Visit Academic Help and Tutoring Resources for more information.

Honors

Supplemental Instruction is available for CHM 11500, CHE 11600, CS 15900, MA 16100, MA 16200 and PHYS 17200.

IDE/MDE

For assistance in courses, please contact the IDES/MDE advising office for a list of students who have successfully completed courses and may be available to serve as tutors, or external tutors that may be of interest*

IE

For assistance in IE courses, please contact the IE Undergraduate Office for a list of students who have successfully completed IE courses and IE major requirements and can serve as tutors*.

ME

Supplemental Instruction is available for ME 20000 and ME 27000.

Free tutoring is available for most ME core courses. Tutoring sessions are scheduled through Boiler Connect, choose Polytech, ECE & ME Tutoring to schedule.

For assistance in MSE courses, please contact the MSE advising office for a list of former students who have successfully completed MSE courses and can serve as tutors*.

NE

For assistance in NE courses, please contact the Nuclear Engineering Advising Office for a list of former students who have successfully completed NE courses and can serve as tutors. The American Nuclear Society also puts together study nights for assistance in NE courses.

*Tutoring frequency and cost are agreed upon by the student and tutor.
