Purdue students win National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) award

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) was created to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. Purdue Engineering is aiming for maximum impact in our mission areas by 2030, one of them being the development of the largest, best-prepared, and most diverse engineering talent pool in the nation. The NSF GRFP is a strong indicator of success in this area. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000. This year, Purdue had 14 award winners (three of which were undergraduate students now studying elsewhere) and 13 honorable mention winners (five of which were undergraduate students now studying elsewhere). Congratulations to all our Purdue University winners, past and present!
