Flyer for 5th Indiana Neuroimagining Symposium
Purdue University hosted the 5th Indiana Neuroimaging Symposium and Hackathon on Brain Connectomics in November.

The Symposium took place on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, in Stewart Center 214. Participants presented their work and learn about emerging in vivo neuroimaging research in Indiana. The program spanned topics ranging from Tau imaging in Alzheimer’s disease to artificial intelligence, and also included a data blitz session, a poster session with a student poster competition, and oral sessions on the following topics:

  • Cognitive Neuroscience
  • Advanced Imaging Techniques
  • Neurological and Neurodegenerative Disorders
  • Connectomics and Data Mining

On the second day, Saturday, Nov. 4, the Hackathon on Brain Connectomics took place from 8:30 AM - 3 PM in Stewart Center 214. It gave participants the opportunity for hands-on experience analyzing brain connectomics MRI data, and the best project won an award.

Also on November 4, a first-time Mini-Pulse Programming Course was featured to allow participants to get some hands-on experience in modifying a pulse sequence and implementing and testing it on the Siemens MRI.
