AIAA International Students and Professionals in Aerospace (ISPA) Working Group
  1. The attached Guide to Surviving in the US Aerospace Industry as an International Student is a comprehensive guide that outlines the best ways to advance your career as an international student seeking to work in the US aerospace industry, drawing on the experience and knowledge of former international students. The document has been reviewed by AIAA officials and an immigration attorney and has been approved as an official AIAA opinion paper.
  2. We are launching the ISPA Mentorship Program, which will pair students wishing to work in the US after graduation with mentors who have successfully navigated that path as foreign nationals for the upcoming academic year. Please see details in the attached flyer. For this inaugural iteration of the program, we are looking to keep it small, so spaces will be limited. Please fill out the intake form to apply by 11:59 PM PT Sunday, September 27th.

ISPA is a working group under the AIAA International Activities Group, and my co-chair, Young-Young Shen, and I (Antoine Paletta) are young professionals in the space industry who graduated from US universities. We realized how difficult it is to land a job in the US aerospace industry as non-US persons, so we co-founded this organization with the mission of connecting international talent pursuing a career in the US aerospace field with more job opportunities. Through this effort, we are building a network of international students and professionals across the country and beyond. Please encourage your students to join our Slack for the latest updates on opportunities and resources like these.
