Professor Nicholas A. Peppas has been unanimously selected to receive the Eurand Career
Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to the field of oral drug delivery. He will be
recognized at the opening ceremony of the Controlled Release Society's (CRS) 29th International
Symposium on Controlled Release of Bioactive Materials in Seoul, Korea, on July 20th. In addition,
Professor Peppas will give a presentation highlighting his career and work during a Special Scientific
Session.

Eurand is a specialty pharmaceutical company that develops enhanced pharmaceutical and
biopharmaceutical products using innovative drug delivery technologies. The Company's drug
development efforts are based on three commercialized technology platforms; bioavailability
enhancement of poorly soluble drugs, customized release and taste masked/quick dissolving
