Objective:

  • Transient and non-stationary device operations.
  • Elastic/inelastic scattering from lattice vibrations.

Approach:

  • Extend stationary quantum transmitting boundary method (QTBM) as the most efficient ballistic NEGF method:
  • => Time-resolved QTBM.

Results (sample illustration):

  • Time-resolved device variables due to time-dependent device potential.

Impact:

  • Contributed to NSF XSEDE research award for supercomputer allocation.
