Our group is selected to receive an R01 grant from the NIH National Eye Institute (NEI), totaling $3.7M in funding for the development of smart contact lenses aimed at monitoring ocular diseases. The team for this project includes Prof. Shin Ae Park (Purdue Vet Med), Prof. Bryan Boudouris (Purdue ChemE), and Prof. Pete Kollbaum (IU Optometry). This grant represents a continuation of funding from the NEI, adding to our existing R01 grant of ~$3M for the development of smart contact lenses aimed at ocular drug delivery, with Prof. Yanni Paulus (Michigan Med).
