Brianna Benedict Awarded 2019 K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award

Third year STRIDE graduate student, Brianna Benedict, was awarded the Association of American Colleges & Universities (AA&U) 2019 K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award.

The K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders Award recognizes graduate students who show exemplary promise as future leaders of higher education; who demonstrate a commitment to developing academic and civic responsibility in themselves and others; and whose work reflects a strong emphasis on teaching and learning. Brianna is one of seven Ph.D. students who received the award, and one of first awardees in engineering. She shares this honor with another 2019 awardee, Andrew Katz, also from the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University. The 2019 awardees were chosen from 200 nominations from 120 institutions. The 2019 Cross Scholars will be reconized at the AA&U's annual meeting on January 23.
