Emre Gencer receives the AIChE Process Development Student Paper Award for 2016!

Emre Gencer is the recipient of the AIChE Process Development Student Paper Award for 2016 for his paper Round-the-clock power supply and a sustainable economy via synergistic integration of solar thermal power and hydrogen processes*.

AIChE Process Development Student Paper Award is presented to a full-time graduate or undergraduate student who prepares the best technical paper to describe the results of process development related studies within chemical engineering. The award will be presented at the Process Development Division Dinner at the AIChE Annual Meeting.

The Modelling Group Welcomed New Students

This past fall, Yiru Li and Radhakrishna Tumbalam Gooty joined the Energy Systems and Separations group, respectively. Yiru Li earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University and Radhakrishna Tumbalam Gotty earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
