Melissa LaGuire has been awarded a Bravo Award for her extraordinary work in Chemical Engineering.
The Bravo Award is intended to recognize faculty and staff who work in the College of Engineering and have made significant contributions in one or more of these four areas:
– Moving the University Forward
– Operational Excellence
– Innovation & Creativity
– Fiscal Stewardship
Mark Koeper and Xin Zhao both received their first conference papers, presenting at the Photovoltaic Specialist ConferenceÂ in June (2016).
The Agrawal Research Group would like to congratulate Scott McClary for receiving Honorable Mention on his NSF Fellow application. The application process is extremely competitive so Scott’s Honorable Mention is a noteworthy achievement.
It is our pleasure to announce that Dr. Caleb Miskin has successfully defended his thesis titled: Solution-Processed Solar Cells via Nanocrystal Inks and Molecular Solutions. Dr Miskin will continue with the group through the summer working as a post-doctoral researcher.
Emre Gencer Receives Highest Award Recognizing Graduate Student Teachers – The 2016 Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award
Purdue University recently announced its highest award recognizing graduate student teachers, the 2016 Graduate School Excellence in Teaching Award, and Emre Gencer, a Chemical Engineering graduate student was the recipient. He will be recognized with a plaque and monetary award at the 18th Annual Celebration of Graduate Student Teaching Excellence on April 26, 2016. This award was only given to three graduate students in the whole school this year.
Robert Boyne and Mark KoeperÂ earned the Purdue Presidential Safety Award for efforts to implement innovative methods to increase the safety awareness in our School.The Purdue Presidential Safety Award was established in 2013 and annually recognizes staff who demonstrate leadership and commitment to safety at Purdue University. This marks the third year in a row when a ChE program or employee has received the award.
The Solar Energy Research Group is happy to announce four new students joining. Joseph Ander from MSE, Essam AlRuqobah from CHE, Swapnil Deshmukh from CHE, and Ryan Ellis from CHE.
