I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Purdue School of Industrial Engineering. I earned my PhD in Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Systems program in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received my Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and my Master's in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. My current research mainly concerns developing computational tools for fast and reliable analysis of smart and resilient infrastructure systems with a focus on power and transportation systems.

I am a PhD student in the Ecological Sciences & Engineering interdisciplinary graduate program and the Dept. of Environmental & Ecological Engineering. In 2018, I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor's degree in Biological Engineering. My current research is to use agent-based and predictive models to determine the long-term social and environmental effects of autonomous vehicles. When not working on research, I am normally playing a sport (basketball, soccer, or volleyball most likely), slack lining, reading, volunteering, or playing a board game.

I am a PhD student in the Purdue School of Industrial Engineering. My current research interests revolve around using mathematical and statistical models to aid in the development of sustainable critical infrastructure. Originally from North Carolina, I graduated with a BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2016. While at NCSU, my research focused on the use of alternative transportation in emergency medicine. While not in school, I am an avid runner and rock climber. I am a PhD student in the Environmental and Ecological Engineering Department. I graduated from the University of Campinas, Brazil, in 2016, and worked as a civil engineer from 2014 to 2016. Research interests are Data Analysis and Predictive Modeling. When not buried under giant databases, I will probably be orbiting around a ball at CoRec as the big sports fan I am.

I am a PhD student in the Ecological Sciences & Engineering interdisciplinary graduate program and the Dept. of Environmental & Ecological Engineering. My research focuses on modeling the urban water-energy-climate nexus using multivariate statistical models. Ultimately, I would like to use my model to promote water sustainability in urban areas. I graduated from Ohio State University with a BS in Environmental Engineering in 2015 and have since worked as a research assistant on a variety of drought-related projects at Purdue. Outside of research, I enjoy reading novels, exploring new cities and spending as much time as possible by the ocean.

I'm currently working in Morocco as a Fulbright Scholar through the U.S. Department of State. Based at the Université Hassan II de Casablanca Faculté des Sciences Ben M'Sick, my research focuses on integrating predictive modeling with water management to better prepare for future water stress due to climate change. I graduated from Purdue in 2019 with a M.S. in Industrial Engineering through the Ecological Sciences and Engineering interdisciplinary graduate program and in 2018 with a B.S. in Environmental and Ecological Engineering, also from Purdue. Broadly speaking, my research interests lie in using tools from statistical learning to work on environmental problem in climate change, resource management, and urban planning. Outside of lab, I spend as much time as I can traveling around the world to get better at whitewater kayaking and rock climbing..

Assistant Professor, Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering, University of Buffalo
I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Buffalo. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering, jointly affiliated as a Visiting Scholar with the School of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University.  My research interests are centered on developing algorithms and risk-informed decision models to investigate the complex interplay between the human and socio-technical systems under the influence of various external stressors. My current research projects focus on modeling the complex climate-energy demand nexus and studying the climatic shocks to the electric power grid, with a broader objective to ensure a resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure systems.
