RE:  Course Deletions

The Faculty of the School of Mechanical Engineering has approved the deletion of the following courses. This action is now submitted to the Engineering Faculty with a recommendation for approval.

ME 283, ME 383, ME 483 Engineering Projects in Community Service

ME 464 Vibration Measurement and Control

ME 555 Composites and Polymers

ME 568 System Optimization Techniques I

Reason:  The courses listed above are recommended for deletion because they are no longer in use.  New EPICS course numbers with an EPCS designation are now in use so the ME EPICS numbers are no longer needed.

We now offer a broader array of vibrations courses at the graduate level so ME 464 is no longer needed, since these courses are also open to undergraduate students.

ME 555 is no longer being taught so is no longer needed.

ME 568 has not been taught in several years.  Because of this inactivity this course is being deleted.
