Changes in Name of field of study Agricultural and Natural Resources EngineeringEngineering Faculty Document No. 32-06 February 23, 2007 TO: Engineering Faculty FROM:
The Faculty of Agricultural and
Biological Engineering RE: Changes in Name of field
of study The faculty of the Department
of Agricultural and Biological Engineering has approved the following change in
the field of study name that appears on the transcripts of our students. This action is now being submitted to the
Engineering Faculty with a recommendation for approval. From: Field of study: Blank (no entry) To: Field of Study: Agricultural and Natural
Resources Engineering Reason: There are currently two accredited fields of study in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department. One is Biological and Food Process Engineering (BFPE) and the other is Agricultural and Biological Engineering. The specific program completed by BFPE students is printed on the degree while the field is left blank for the remainder of the graduates. The faculty of the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department propose that this be changed so that “Agricultural and Natural Resources Engineering” appears on the transcripts of the students in our second program. This new field of study name better reflects the program and the focus of the students enrolled in that program. Bernard A. Engel Professor and Head Agricultural and Biological
