The Faculty of the School of Civil Engineering has approved a name change for the following course.   This action is now submitted to the Engineering Faculty with a recommendation for approval.

 

 

FROM:            CE 397            Professional Internship

                        Sem. 1 ,2, and SS., Cr. 0

                        Prerequisite: First semester sophomore standing or higher; only open to students in Civil Engineering. Authorized equivalent courses or consent of instructor may be used in satisfying course pre- and co-requisites.

 

Professional experience in Civil Engineering. This internship experience is intended to complement the student’s academic coursework and help prepare the student for a career as a practicing engineer. Program coordinated by school with cooperating employers.  A written report is required. This course may be repeated but may not be taken in successive semesters

 

 

TO:                 CE 397            Undergraduate Professional Internship

                        Sem. 1, 2, and SS., Cr. 0

                        Prerequisite: First semester sophomore standing or above in Civil Engineering and consent of instructor.

This internship experience is intended to complement the student’s academic coursework and help prepare the student for a career as a practicing engineer. REASON:       The course is changed to differentiate the course from a new course, CE 598 – Graduate Professional Internship proposed for the graduate program.
