Reason:  Since the Division of Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies and the Department of Freshman Engineering merged to form the Department of Engineering Education, the program formerly known as the Freshman Engineering Program is now known as the First-Year Engineering Program.  Course titles, prerequisites, and descriptions are herein modified to reflect this change.  As the courses in this program provide the initial view of Purdue's engineering course material for all of our undergraduate students, this change is important in projecting a gender-neutral image for all of our programs.
