RE: Deletion of ECE 553

The faculty of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has approved the deletion of the following course. This action is now submitted to the Engineering Faculty with a recommendation for approval.

ECE 553         Ceramic Materials and Electronic Devices

                        Sem. 2. Class 3, cr. 3, (Offered in alternate years.)

                        Prerequisite: ECE 311 or equivalent

 

                        Development of structure-property relationships for ceramic materials

                        used in a wide variety of electronic devices, and the dependence of device

                        performance on both materials properties and processing methods and

                        behaviors common to all ceramic materials; electrical and magnetic

                        properties as related to device performance; and the materials aspects of

                        hybrid microelectronics.

 

Reason:          The contents of this course are subsumed by other course offerings in the          

                        School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
