To: Faculty of the Schools of Engineering From: Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering Subject: New Undergraduate Level Course The Faculty of the School of Biomedical Engineering has approved the following new course and submits it for your approval. BME 498 Advanced Projects in Biomedical
Engineering. Sem. 1
and 2. SS. Cr. 1-4. Prerequisite: junior
or senior standing and consent of instructor.
(May be repeated for credit.)
Individual research or design projects for students with previous research or
design experience. Project to be
approved by the supervising faculty member before registering for the
course. Approved written and oral reports
are required.
Reason: The School of Biomedical Engineering (BME) was recently formed to coordinate the training of B.S. level students in this field. This course addition is made to allow for advanced projects to be undertaken by junior and senior level students developing their research and design skills in the Biomedical Engineering field._________________________________ G.
