Subject:            CHE 498 Change

 

 

The faculty of the School of Chemical Engineering has approved the following change in ChE 498 effective with the Fall Semester 2004-2005 and submits it to the Engineering Faculty for its consideration and approval.

 

 

PRESENT:

 

ChE 498 Research in Chemical Engineering I  Sem. 1 and 2, SS. Class 1, lab. 6, cr. 3 Prerequisite: honors classification

                        Individual research projects for students with honors classification. Requires prior approval of, and arrangement with, a faculty research advisor.

 

 

PROPOSED:

 

ChE 498 Research in Chemical Engineering I  Sem. 1 and 2, SS. Class 1, lab. 6, cr. 3 Prerequisite: honors classification. (May be repeated for credit)

Individual research projects for students with honors classification. Requires prior approval of, and arrangement with, a faculty research advisor.

 

 

REASON:  To allow students with honors classification to begin their research projects earlier in their academic program and provide continuity until they are prepared to continue into ChE 499, Research in Chemical Engineering II.
