SS. Cr. 1-4. (May be repeated for credit.) Prerequisite: consent of instructor. Specialized topic areas for which there are no specific courses, workshops, or individual study plans, but having sufficient student interest to justify the formalized teaching of a course. Reason: The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) has recently formed an undergraduate program designed to coordinate the training of B.S. level students in this field. This course addition is made to accommodate new course material of current interest to sophomore level students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and in other departments and schools with biomedical engineering or related interests.
