RE: Course Deletions

 

The faculty of the Department of Freshman Engineering and the FrE Curriculum Committee have approved the following course deletions. This action is now submitted to the engineering faculty with a recommendation for approval.

 

ENGR 190 Elementary Engineering Design

Sem. 1 and 2. Class 2, cr. 2.

 

An introduction to engineering design.

 

ENGR 191 A variable title, variable credit course for all students in the pre-engineering

courses (CHM 111 or 112, or MA 151).

 

ENGR 191C & M Tutorial Assistance for CHM 111 and 112 (191C) and Tutorial Assistance for MA 151 (191M)

Sem. 1 (and Sem. 2 for 191C). Class 1, lab 1, cr. 1.

 

191C provides tutorial assistance for CHM 111 (fall) and CHM 112 (spring). 191M provides tutorial assistance for MA 151.

 

ENGR 490 Women in Transition Seminar

Sem. 1. Class 1, cr. 1. Prerequisite: senior sanding in engineering or consent of instructor.

 

A seminar series designed to present and discuss issues of personal and professional concern for women seniors as they prepare to enter careers in engineering.

 

Reason: ` These courses are no longer consistent with the current and future direction of the curriculum in the Department of Freshman Engineeirng.
