Hasti received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from College of Engineering, Sri Venkateswara University, India. He has worked in the area of combustion simulation using commercial CFD codes for engine design analysis and pollutants prediction. His work at Purdue University involved the modeling and simulation of ignition and combustion of lean premixed fuel-air mixtures for low emission gas turbine engine applications. Also, he worked on the lean blow out computations in a realistic gas turbine combustor. Hasti is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University.
