Generators of Cold Plasma

Cold atmospheric-pressure plasma jet and pulsed corona cold plasma source

Atmospheric pressure cold plasmas have been found to be of great value in the fields of bio-engineering, medicine, food processing, etc., due to its ability to produce reactive gas species and radicals with minimal energy consumption and gas heating. Conventional atmospheric pressure cold plasmas are generated in noble gas, nitrogen, or air by alternating or pulsed HV powers, with a heating of gas by usually less than 50K while the electron temperature can be 1-10. Cold plasmas have been shown to have a great value for a variety of applications from aerodynamic flow control to biological sterilization, surface modification, cancer treatment, dentistry, dermatology, cosmetics, and wound healing.

We are developing cold plasma sources that can be utilized for modification of polymer surfaces and biological sterilization.
