Science Outreach Programs with Local Schools
We have an "After School Science Education Program" with Murdock Elementary that provides opportunities for graduate students to interact with and teach elementary school students, prepare material (videos, posters) for science outreach and much more. Recently, we teamed up with graduate organizations from other departments to prepare short video lessons on various scientific concepts for students in K-5 grades.
Winterization and De-Trash The Wabash
Under these initiatives, we try to help the local West Lafayette-Lafayette community in various ways including preparation for the winter, clean-up of the Wabash river and much more.
